I came up with the name, Alexandra York…that just sounded like a good, snotty name for the character. The name is literally the only thing I had anything to do with.

With her cigar-smoking, seductive, nonchalant and mysterious gimmick, she acted as the manager of her then real-life husband Dustin , who was wrestling under the gimmick of Goldust. Runnels later re-emerged in , under her real name, as the on-screen girlfriend of Val Venis.
